The Crosman Discover rifle comes in two different moidels. The Discovery is a .177 cal version with a maximum velocity of 1000 fps. The Discovery 22 is the same rifle chambered in .22 cal with a maximum velocity of 900 fps.

So how do you choose upon a caliber? The choice is up to you. The pros of the 177 would be a slightly flatter trajectory, where the .22 caliber Discovery would deliver more downrange energy and w wider wound channel (if you are a hunter)
